Job Title: Inside Sales Representative

Reports to: Water Business Sales Manager


Position Summary

The Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for growing sales of our commerical off-the-shelf envirnonmetal software and maintenance renewals by develping leads, acquiring new customers and following up with existing customers. The candidate will be based out of the Waterloo Hydrogeologic office in Waterloo, Ontario.


Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify, contact and close new sales opportunities within the assigned territories;
  • Maintain a pipeline in the Company’s CRM as well as track sales progress against monthly, quarterly and annual targets;
  • Implement approved strategic sales plans for assigned accounts;
  • Work with distribution partners to reach existing and prospective customers;
  • Provide market intelligence and voice of the customer (VOC) back to Sales Manager;
  • Actively participate in cold calling/emailing sales processes;
  • Employ proven customer upselling and customer retention techniques;
  • Attend industry trade shows and exhibits as required;
  • Other duties may be assigned.


Experience/Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience with inside sales preferably with software products;
  • Degree or relevant work experience;
  • Ability to multitask and proven self-starter with strong desire to support customers;
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with excellent phone etiquette;
  • Ability to think quickly and adapt to a changing environment;
  • Capable with learning new software;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
  • Experience with CRM, preferably Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2016 Database;
  • Candidate must be a self-motivated, structured, and results driven with the ability to work autonomously as well as within a team environment;


Compensation

  • Base Salary, commensurate with experience plus commission;
  • 3 weeks paid vacation time per year;
